Hi, could anyone recommend shoes that are suitable for an AFO device as my Mum has been told the heels/soles have to be solid and deep enough for the bolt to go through. Trainer soles are not suitable and brogues are not a good fit on my Mum’s feet due to her symptoms causing oedema in her feet, ankles and lower legs. She usually wears sketchers slips in and they have been great but the orthotics team have said Sketchers are not suitable for an AFO as the sole is too squashy and won’t hold the bolt. Thanks!
