Second MRI scan for comparison

Hi

i am having my second MRI scan next week with results to follow which will be either showing my MS is active or progressed since my first scan last year. I believe this will also indicate weather I will be suitable for the frog or not. Any advice for questions I should ask when I go for my results. Thank you

Ocrevus? Would it help slow down progression for you?

Yes I believe that is an option depending on if my MS is active. It’s hard to get your head around possibly needing this when I don’t feel ill or not in any pain currently!

Hi all, there’s a handy news article on the MSTrust website. it’s titled; Ocrevus - what you need to know. It explains entire procedure from new MRI’s without and then with contrast dye. Those results are compared to your earlier MRI results. Any new !esions will be evidence that PPMS is active. If we PPMS folks fulfil the criteria then each patient can consider the Risks versus Reward of starting the first ever treatment for PPMS, funded by NHS England (not our local authorities). It’s expected that Scotland & Wales will follow suit (maybe monitoring us living in England before spending their health budget).

If active, then a full assessment is done, again to confirm activity. Plus, the original diagnosis has to be less than 15 years and evidence that you can walk, with or without walking aids for at least 20 metres.

I hope you find the article helpful.
