Hello. I’ve been referred to a neurologist following mri scans. Symptoms include pins and needles, muscle spasms, areas of skin that are sore to touch/almost burning sensation (this is usually short lived) weak right arm and fatigue - to varying degrees over a 15 month period - with long periods of no symptoms during that time. No eye issues. Cervical spine scan is clear but brain has come back with some areas of concern. The doctor is referring to me a neurologist for further tests and has mentioned a lumbar puncture. I’m a little overwhelmed and want to be armed with as much knowledge as possible. Is a clear spine but spots on the brain common with an MS diagnosis? Does this sound like MS? How common is it not to have optic issues? Do referral times to a neurologist tend to be long? I appreciate the last question is likely to vary hugely from region to region but I’m not very good and limbo! A rough idea of how long people waited would be helpful. Sorry for all the questions - it’s just a lot to take in. Thanks in advance for your help. Not even sure if i’ve posted in the right way/section - first time posting in a forum.
