I tried it Polly and lost £44, but not a lb of weight. I have since joined weight watchers and lost 2stone 10lbs easy peasy and am under goal. All the miracle ones just don’t work, I found it was portion control that worked for me. I was eating the same as my husband and gained weight no problem but weight watchers teaches about portion control and I can honestly say I am never hungry, I would struggle now to eat what I give my husband and feel so full and bad it would not be worth it. Thanks Hobs. I know you are an advocate of good exercise and eating, so thanks, but exercise is difficult for me as I am full time wheelie and my bottom half has no movement at all. I am waiting for physio to come and see if they can suggest anything. I have feeling in my legs and they often feel sluggish and heavy. My morning carer moisturisers and rubs my legs and feet, which feels good.
I follow a healthy diet…slimming world…it is varied and enjoyable.
Well yes I am in a way and never use to be pro gym, I actually don’t eat healthy as such and drink way to much.
At our gym Hillingdon Leisure centre alot of machines have swing at the way seating so you can back a wheelchair into them.
I’ve seen 5 people with wheel chairs going to gym and one guy with MS goes 3 times a week at 4 hours are a time this is
extreme but he says he needs and likes it.
Also they have machines like pedal bikes but for the arms, I’ve tried this one and its a killer after 5 mins a real cardio workout.
As for cost they do a benefits discount so its just £2.70 per day.
Its a shared council and run by the fusion chain they might have one near you.
