Private neurologist appointment next week

Good Afternoon guys, currently undiagnosed, posted on here a few times with a list of symptoms.
due to Covid, I was put on a waiting list to be put on the waiting list for a neurologist so decided to go private. I have my appointment next Friday. I have got my diary of symptoms with me, from dates and how long they lasted. Mri on disc to give to neurologist (this was clear in December of head and spine) nerve conduction test, that came back with slight nerve damage in little finger.

Is there anything else I need to prepare before my appointment, my partner is coming with me for support. Just want to make sure I know what to expect before I arrive, especially when I’m paying for it out of my pocket.

thank you for listening.

Stacey

Hi Stacey. I decided to go private initially when I was told there was a 10 month waiting list to see a neuro back in 1999. After that I went on the NHS and saw the same neuro.

You sound quite well prepared for your appointment.

He may wish to do more tests eg lumber puncture and bloods.

Just go along, it`s always a good idea to take someone with you to help recall what is said and take it from there.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
