`Cos I turn 60 on Monday!!! Can you hear me bones creaking?
I`ve already got me bus pass (disabled)
What other benefits are there to being 60?
Oh maybe when I get checked out for ESA, theyll think Im too old to go back to work, eh? If they deign to offer me a job, what do other 60+ new employees do?
Can`t be a crossing patrol person…the lollipop might get stuck in me wheels
Cant work at B&Q..........cant climb ladders or reach higher than me wheelie to get stuff off shelves
Cant work a till at Asda cos me wheelie won`t fit in booth
Pat and Andrew…think Poll means the pre-paid card that you can buy to repvent you having to pay the individual prescription fee for every item that you need.
I bought one I think it was around £29 for 3 months…given the amount of drugs I use it… is an essential really.
Dear Poll, a very big “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
I love your posts and I have lost count of the days that you have brightened for me…so I wish you a sun filled day.
I wish you a fabulous birthday, surrounded by your dearest friends and family and I can only hope there is a short story to tell us all about it
hi Jen, i wont get me state pension until i am 62 as they are making us wait longer now! Hubby gets the winter fuel payment and its only 1 per household.
My version of only as old as you feel etc goes like this;
a man/woman is only as old as the woman/man he/she IS feeling!!! That`d be good if they are a toy boy or a dolly bird!
Cheers Linda. You know my 40th was absolutely brill. I`d lost all me flab (7stones!), passed my driving test and got a car, became a slimming club leader AND had my saggy boobs lifted.
Life sure was fab!
Then at 45 this rat of a monster invited itself to live with me, so at 50 I was knackered!
Happy Birthday to you. we both hope you have a brill one.Jim was 60 this year and is waiting to get his esa sorted 7 months now. he went for his bus pass only to be told he had to be 65 now changed in april. that was my fault.
I would like help with swiming mayb a pass for one of us (and help to get out of the water ), have a good day
Hello Poll, Have a very VERY happy birthday on Monday. For anyone who dosen’t know when you live in England up to the age of 60 we have to pay for our prescriptions. When Poll gets her next prescription from doc’s she will sign the back of the form and get her prescription FOR FREE…welcome to the club Poll.
Happy Birthday and hope you spend it with all your loved ones.
When you put your ‘cross’ on the back of the prescription form - to be careful - without my specs l have signed ‘War Pension’ and the ‘l am pregnant’ before now.
