Hi all , I am struggling and feel I don’t trust my body .
The pain in lower back and balance has completely gone that even a simple walk to me is an epic journey.
I’m now at the stage I won’t go out on my own and just feel like all the people around me who are supportive just don’t understand.
I was diagnosed over 2 years ago but in hindsight I have been suffering a lot longer but always played it down to other reasons.
I am on my own here feeling in the matter of 2 years I don’t recognise myself and have no confidence.
I get so frustrated trying to think of words and feel like a complete idiot at times trying have a conversation.
Sorry for what appears to be a pity party but was just wondering if others have felt the progression has sped up far quicker than I expected.
Kind regards
Colin
Hi Colin. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way.
Progression can happen in different paces. I’m also looking at myself just few years ago as a completely different person who could do so many things. I found that the most important thing to keep high confidence is to try doing things and learning your limits. Confidence comes with knowledge, even when your reach is much shorter. And you might even surprise yourself with what you can do.
Don’t lose hope, our lives change, but we can change with them.

Thank you for your kind reply .
I was a ghillie so had job of my dreams being paid to fish for salmon rather than paying for the privilege.
I have a friend here who is so patient but even trying to get in and out the boat I feel like i am 85 not 51 so have retired from my true passion .
I had a councillor as apparently I didn’t take the diagnoses well by shrugging my shoulders and saying let’s do this I can handle this.
I couldn’t of been more wrong , I just hate being like this , sorry for ranting on as it’s just me actually saying what I feel rather than telling everyone around me I’m fine

Hi Colin
Please believe me, you are not on your own. It’s a tough journey for sure with little or no idea what we are supposed to do.
Be strong were all with you
