Hi Everyone, been a while since I’ve been on here
The weather has finally changed and I couldn’t be happier (well, more grey skies and bit less sun would be nice)
Anyway, the title
I see an occupational therapist from the community neuro rehab team and she asked me me if I had ADHD. I said I have no idea
Cut a long story short, just had a telephone assessment and though she cannot diagnose, she said it looks like that I’ve got it. Now I just gotta wait for 2 years on the list to be properly diagnosed
On July 29th this year I had my 10 years since MS diagnosis…and I waited nearly 2 years to get that….so….I know I can wait
I’m not really sure what to make of it. I just thought it was my personality (fire sign, highly strung) so I think it’s gonna take me a while to get my head round this
So I’ve got MS, and potentially ADHD……what a kerfuffle
I totally feel for you and especially having to wait so long for a diagnosis! I’m under the perimental health team and my OT queried the same with me. I know my lesions are near all those areas that affect mood and behaviour so now it’s a case of working out what came first the chicken or the egg!
You must be so confused and your ADHD symptoms won’t help that either but I hope you get some answers and some help to embrace it

Hi @Veexo87
I think it’s the neuro-psychologist who can determine ADHD, well mine told me of my Executive Dysfunction some time ago.
I did think it was because of my hemorrhagic stroke a few years back but, she said it was more likely due to multiple sclerosis.
It’s not worth the trouble thinking about tbf, I feel no different knowing about it, but she did say she’s happy to explain it to my employer b4 if need be; I’m now ill-health retired btw.
Best,
JP
