Positive Oligoclonal bands

Hello, five years ago I had a sudden very strong pain in my back and after few hours I cant walk or feel anything under my chest (I was paralysed). In the hospital the mri found one lesion in my back but nothing in the brain. The problem is I had positive Oligoclonal bands. The doctors think it was spinal stroke or Transverse myelities. Five years later(now) I dont have new lesions except the one in my spine. I can walk but I still have problems . My vep test is ok.
What are the chances it is MS? Because of my positive OCB I am still dont know. I am afraid that something bad will happen to me because I dont diagnosed and dont take DMT. Sorry for my english.
Thanks

I believe that oligloconal bands can be present in non MS issues due to inflammation. If you are concerned it could possibly be MS or you have had other symptoms you may wish to ask if you can be referred for an MRI or pay to go private.

I had an MRI first which showed lesions on the brain but none on the spine, then a positive oligloconal test & paired with my other symptoms they confirmed it was MS

So the more pieces of the puzzle they have to put together the better idea they will have to give you an answer of if they believe it’s MS or not.

I hope that was a little helpful
