Hi all
This is my first post. I have been successfully taking Avonex for the past 3 years and recently changed to Plegridy for ease of use, ie fortnightly injection instead of a weekly injection.
I am on my fourth week and am lucky that I have found the side effects similar to avonex and am coping with them. However, my walking seems to have deteriorated ie I can’t seem to walk so far and my legs are feeling heavier with no energy.
Has any body else had this problem when first using plegridy and if so did it get better?
Hi Cancan,
I’m about 2 months in to taking Plegridy. I’ve been very lucky in thcould’ve not really had any side effects.
I can’t say I’ve noticed my walking getting any worse but then it’s pretty rubbish anyway. I have 2 sticks and only manage very
short distances.
It might be worth giving you MS nurse a ring if you think that it has worsened. It could be the Plegridy or it might just be the heat at the moment.
Hopefully it settles down soon.
Thanks for your reply Shuffler. Yes did think it might be the heat and my ms nurse says maybe having a relapse. I just wanted to hear if anybody else has had the same problem.
This was my first post and it’s good to know there are others out there so again thank you.
No problem.
There’s always some one out there with an answer. It’s a pretty friendly group on here. I’m not a prolific poster but help when I can.
