I agree famalies need to be included, we dont function in isolation and we need people around us who love us and care about. I do understand however that sometimes care homes are what some people need.
With regards to Hashimotos you could have an antibodies test to find out if you have this, most people with an underactive thyroid do. Alot of research being conducted on thyroid shows that even though an underactive thyroid is being treated with medication the antibodies can produce many symptoms of their own which are not treated, thats why many people of thyroid meds still feel unwell.
Can i ask you if you had an underactive thyroid before ms symptoms?
Its good that things are improving for you on levo. Im up and down with mine all the time, cant tolerate more than 75 mg of levo and even that gives me palpitations. The other symptoms like weakness, muscle pain and balance problems seem difficult to diagnose when you have more than one condition. For a long time they have put my symptoms down to fibromylagia. I have had to be persistant and say NO i think something else is wrong. So at least my neuro appointment hopefully will exclude if not diagnose.
