Pizotifen 😱

Flipping Nora I thought I was going to die.
I haven’t been here for a while and I’ve just come back and it’s all changed.

I’ve googled near death fatigue and dozyness with Pizotifen but nothing, it’s all played down.
I’ve spent two days out of it after taking a 50mg Pizotifen (and there’s a 100mg :scream:).

I took it Tuesday morning and Tuesday disappeared, Wednesday was sort of there but I couldn’t get up, and I’ve just come round this morning- that’s two days gone.

The side effect list says may cause fatigue and somnolence.

Because I’ve googled it and there’s no suggestion it does this I’m wondering if anyone here takes it and what effect it has.

I do wonder whether our already-tattered wiring makes us more vulnerable to being knocked flat by these sort of drugs. I am sorry that it doesn’t suit you if it’s what you need. Does the GP have any suggestions on alternatives or a lower dose?

I don’t bother with my GP because to get a routine appointment is now four months would you believe - a FOUR MONTH WAIT!

I ordered a repeat prescription of Zolmitriptan and it took six weeks. Now I order it online and get it in two days.

I just never go to the GP anymore.

I was on Pizotifen years ago and these are ones I had left over. I’ve got loads. I now remember why I was on a quarter tablet, I couldn’t cope with them.

It does seem to be a drug that should be introduced slowly and people not given the full whack in case this happens.
