Hi,
Where did your father say he got this info? Haven’t heard about it, and can’t find anything on Google.
There has been a recent amendment to the wording, that potentially takes more account of fluctuating conditions. See MSS article on it: http://www.mssociety.org.uk/ms-news/2013/02/goverment-makes-key-concession-pip
But according to that article, the walking distance remains strict, at 20m.
So unless it’s literally a piece of breaking news, that the media hasn’t yet picked up on, I think it’s a red herring. Possibly some confusion with Friday’s announcement?
Would Parliament really have made more changes yesterday, that weren’t already in that announcement?
Possible, but seems a bit unlikely. Would they stir themselves to work on a Saturday, for a bill about disability benefits? I wait to be convinced…

Could it of been this re blue badge entitlement andPIP, this mentions 50 metres. Blue Badge scheme - GOV.UK
I’ve just received a message from my friends at benefit and work. Don’t quite understand it but it seems that something positive has happened regarding PIP. I expect more information will come from MS Society in the next week.

Hello everyone,
Does this clarify the issue or make it even muddier?
What about those who have already been assessed and could walk 20m but cannot walk 50m
Oh dear, what a mucking fuddle
I’m about to enter the murky world of Athos, just received a form to fill in - ummmm
