Well the brown envelope from the DWP landed yesterday, enhanced care, enhanced mobility and not to be reassessed until January 2027. What a relief after all the worry and stress especially after hearing how people with prosthetic limbs were not eligible! Thanks for advice given on here.
Hi .iv declined somewhat and feel i need enhanced pip now but am too scared to face another form and the possibilty i may even lose my standard pip.has anyone tried to go from one to another?
Hi like you my MS declined I was not on the enhanced daily living for PIP,I decided I would apply without having the invite letter,I did have my social workers care plan and a letter from my MS nurse,I did not have to go for a face to face assessment which was a relief.I think if you can get enough supporting evidence of how your MS effects each of the criteria this will go a long way to gaining a higher award of PIP.
Even though it is time !limited for 3 years you should get a smaller form sent to you after around two and a half years. Its a form that is checking how things are (I can’t remember the exact title). For each of the 12 +2 defined activities you are asked if things have got better, there has been no change or things have got worse. Where things are worse there is a box where you can describe how things of got better or worse. If you tick the no change boxes then your award is renewed, for another 3 years. If you tick the gotten worse box then DWP may decide to carry out a full review as they would do with a new application.
The form is a simple one to complete if there is no change and it is an awful lot better then having to fill out a new full application.
Hi anyone know if the change on circumstances form you apply for pip is as complecated as the original one to first get pip? You just mentioned a form you get sent to update health situ after so long but im thinking its a different one?
