I’m looking for some advice from anyone with MS who has successfully been awarded PIP.
I was diagnosed with MS over 20 years ago and I’m currently on Kesimpta, but my PIP application was refused. I’m feeling really disappointed.
If you’ve been through the process, could you please share what helped with your application or appeal? What kind of information did you include, and what do you think made the biggest difference? I’d really appreciate any tips or personal experiences. Thank you so much.

Hi and welcome!
Go to www.benefitsandwork.co.uk and have a look. Register if you need to, it is worth it as their guides to help you answer the questions are really useful. Also if you need to appeal they help with that too. The emphasis is on what help you need with various day to day tasks which is what the benefit is for, not necessarily on the actual diagnosis.

Sorry, forgot to say get as much evidence as you can. Letters from your neuro, MS Nurse, physio, GP if possible… anyone and everyone to confirm the things you need help with. I always treat completing the forms as a project, put emotion aside and deal with it like a piece of work you have to do well.
