Parallel success

Afternoon all!!

Well as MS ruined my dreams of returning to the track to be a vet 800m runner and continuing to enjoy the odd half marathon and 10k I though it was all over and time to give up…

but it then I thought - why give in to this bloody thing? Contacted England athletics as I am still quite quick over the old 100/200m even though I can’t run very far anymore before falling over!!! Been invited to an athletics day next week at Loughborough (my old uni) to train and learn about para athletics as part of the parallel success programme. Might be the first MS running athlete at the grand old age of 35 and I will still get to run and compete!!! Excited but v nervous and I probably won’t be able to walk for the rest of the week but it’s worth a shot x x x

hope you are all well and enjoying the cooler weather!

Hi Stacey, so glad you`ve found some light in this long, dark tunnel.

You go for it hun and my very best wishes to you, whatever you do.

You dont have to be the winner in this life, being a competitor is just as rewarding.
