Hello Everyone hope you are as well as you can be.
I’m writing this because no one except you guys and gals will understand how I feel. I have been on this site many times and have received very helpful advice along with kindness.
Two days ago I had been shopping, came home exhausted and had a sleep. On waking up my legs were completely numb, I could neither stand or walk. I was so scared as I have secondary progressive ms and I thought oh God help me I’ll never walk again.
my husband bless him came in and started lifting my legs up and down very fast to get them working again. After a while I managed to stand with the help of my husband and rollator. Slowly I walked again. My legs still felt dead and now two days on the numbness is in my calfs.
Just a thought, have you had your wee checked for a UTI? Sometimes that can have effects in ways you don’t necessarily expect. I had a virus recently which completely wiped my legs out, they went from under me and I had to have the paramedics out to help me up. It was only through having my blood tested that it was clear that it was a virus. I then had a UTI and again my legs went. Two weeks later, two courses of antibiotics for the UTI and I’m back to my normal (albeit crap and still unable to walk) cranky, creaky self.
Janet I was about to say the same as Sue UTI can wreck me and my whole body shuts down, when it first happened I was so scared and I am a big ruffty tuffty ex builder/butcher/slaughterman I thought the end had come.
Thank you Carole, Sue and Don for your advice I will see my doctor in case I do have a UTI as I haven’t had my wee checked in years. Thank you all for responding.
