Not diagnosed. Covid-19 vaccine

I haven’t been diagnosed yet. Will I go on the priority list for covid vaccination? I’m only asking because of situation. The quicker I get vaccination the better. Live with older person and can’t work, as I have to protect. Im 42 and got vaccination for flu. Will I also get earlier vaccination for coronavirus? I seem to be in limbo land. Thanks for any help in advance.

As I understand it, the process of selection within the general priority policy guidelines is GP-led. So if you need it earlier than the headline guidelines might suggest, make your case to your GP and see what happens. That’s what I’m going to do.

Thanks

The priority order is based on risk. Luckily MS on its own is not a risk factor so we will be called forward based on our age. I know someone with MS who should have been vaccinated yesterday (but she is 80). People in nursing homes are first in line when they work out how to do it. Care home workers are being vaccinated and NHS workers. From memory those on the very vulnerable category will be called forward at the same time as the over 65s. As an over 65 I am not holding my breath.
