Hi all. Sorry if this comes out rambled any questions feel free to message me. Hubby got diagnosed with rrms in Dec 2011 he is on rebif injection 3x a week, however I think maybe he has spms as he is getting worse not better, but when ever we try to talk to ms nurse/Neuro seems like they not really listening and just another statistic to them. Hubbys mobility has been bad since dx, but has got worse and his right leg basicly don’t work now,he uses a stick and physio has not helped.
Also when hubby was dx he was working full time but as his condition was worsening he was signed off indefinitely, during this time of him being signed off and waiting for benefits to be placed (approx 4months) we was living off £60 a week, our housing association knew what was going on as I’d kept them updated they took us to court and tried to evict us luckily that didn’t happen but we incurred the court costs, we have in writing of ms nurse,my own housing officer and the occupational therapist that works for our housing, that our house is not sufficient for hubbys medical needs,we need to be on one level floorhouse iie bungalow/ground floor flat but due to our arrears they will not move us, even though I am making positive payments off the account but tbh it is going to take 12months to clear it and we haven’t got 12 months, hubby can’t manage now and with his legs getting worse, I got told to try the other housing association in the town next to us as that is where our children go to school hubbys gp and chemist is there and immediate family to, and under exceptional circumstances they could take us, however when I rang to make a apt to meet with the housing.association to show them the paper work etc and to explain our circumstances face to face as when you try and write it down,it doesn’t come out the best sometimes, to be told abruptly that it is not exceptional circumstances and they promptly hung up on me. Any ideas what we could do as I feel we are continually hitting a brick wall thanks in advance
