new symptoms help i'm frightened

Hello everyone, i have started having a very strange symptom lately,

I have started to notice that when i bend my head i get a very odd sensation in my left leg,

It isnt painful but for a second i seem to lose power in my leg, it’s’ especially noticable when i turn over in bed.

I have rrm and have not felt this before. My neuro said last year my scan showed active lesion on my spine,

is this the beginings of losing use of my leg ? ive had ms for 10 years approx.

Anyone else had similar symptoms should i go to gp or could it just be a relapse which i will recover from ?

Hello, I think what you are experiencing is something very common in MS. It is called L`Hermittes. I get it when sitting on my commode…nowhere else!

It is like an electric shock which runs down my neck/back/right leg.

No, as you say, it doesn`t exactly hurt, but gives me a jolt.

I think it is caused by lesions in the cervical spine area.

I don`t know if it signifies loss of leg mobility, as I have PPMS and have been a full time wheelie for 7 years.

It would be worth ringing your MS nurse, if you`re worried.

Hi Sparkly

I did have a similar relapse and did recover from it. It was only when we looked at my MRI that we noticed the spinal lesion and it explained the peculiar feelings I’d been having including a springy left leg, followed by a numb foot and weak left side. I did all come back within a week or 2.
