New Member Catherine

Hi all
I’m Cath, 61 now and have had MS since I was 19. Over the years after a crushing attack which left me unable to walk to the end of the street, see or speak properly I have improved immensely over the years. I no longer have weakness, pain in my bones and have built up meaningful part time employment and exercise. Healthy eating and avoiding stress and positive challenges I believe were all a big factor. I lived and worked in Spain for a few years in my 50s. For me new adventures and fun projects were the key.
Still working, caring for ageing parents and now Grandchildren I’m finding the fatigue/ exhaustion a major challenge. I’ve never taken medication but I would now consider it.

I would definitely use a DMT!

Hi there Catherine!

Have you seen your ms nurse recently? They really have some fantastic knowledge, and may be able to help you with fatigue. They could also hope you get onto some treatment.

Welcome to the forums, it’s lovely to hear from you

Hi
Thank you! Yes I see the MS Nurse every 6 months. I see her in May and I think I’ll ask about treatment for fatigue. It’s the side affects of the drugs I’m worried about. In the past I have been able to manage fatigue but seem busier than ever since I turned 60.
