New here just saying hi

Hi guys this is my first post have been diognosed since 2012 and have found myself at a lose end recently i dont get out much and dont have any friends so hoping to meet some like minded people here

Hello Dan,
Welcome. I was dx back in April 2001 if can still remember. I haven’t gone out-out 5 years now: coincided with MS gnawing away mobility, a brain haemorrhage and the lockdown.
Tbh I have lost touch with nearly all past friends, but I suppose that’s a reason to go out and make new ones.
I don’t have any mingling advice to share tbf. I just say, hey I’m also in same boat, hope you manage to find a network.
Best,
JP

Born and bred Londoner; would love to go out-out this fine indian summer weekend, while the weather lasts!
Alas, I’m signed off from work since January so going out-out would be deemed a conflict of interest.
I resumed MS treatment after those hard working Nurses came back on board last July but I’m still awaiting surgery at the moment; the dispute rumbles on --I completely support their cause jsyk.
Best regards,
JP

Hi Dan. Diagnosed 2006-07 and not too bad. How are you doing ?

Im doing ok get a little cabin fever from time to time as have noone to talk to during the day hoping to conect with people on here and start making friends, how are you

Not too bad thanks. Can still walk for 15-20 minutes but make use of a small mobility scooter for anything more than that. Live with my wife in a smallish village in Scotland. Fortunately for me my interests are in natural history and there is an RSPB reserve not far from here where I can get around on the scooter.

Just wondering, does your MS make it hard to get out?

Certainly when Covid was everywhere I avoided any crowded places etc - but even so managed to get it last year and it took ages to recover - even with antivirals.

So far i dont have much problem with movement the fatigue the following day is always bad if i have a heavy day or alot on
