Got my diagnosis 3 months ago and ive had no help or contact since then can anyone out there tel me if this is normal im not sleeping and my head is in a mess just need some help
Hi Wayne. I don’t know what is normal in these days of a stretched NHS but I do think you should have heard something by now. If I were you I would speak with my GP and also contact the neurologist or department that provided the diagnosis.
What should happen is that you have a meeting/ consultation with the neurologist during which and amongst other things, you will be offered disease modifying treatments/ drugs and you should also have a meeting with an MS Nurse who will be your main point of contact.
All the best
That no use, is it? I’m really sorry. I hope that you get some support soon.
Really sorry to hear this.
Did you see your neuro in person for diagnosis ,I, do hope so ?
They should have explained the next stages to you.
I was told over the phone , however, there was never any doubt by me or my neuro so it was expected.
I would contact your neuros secretary and also follow up by email asking when you will see your neuro to discuss DMTS and be given a contact for an MS nurse .
Your MS nurse will be your main point of contact going forward.
Any problems , queries, or new symptom go to them.
Also involve your GP or PALS if you’re not getting anywhere.
I do hope you get the help you need as soon as possible.
Let us know how you get on . Take care
