Hi everyone
After being diagnosed and discharged by Dr Turner about two years ago I’m now out of the system when I need support. I am recovering from a relapse and the NHS waiting times at Southampton are 18 weeks! I don’t want to see Dr Turner again and have been trying to find out if Dr Halfpenny practices privately but it doesn’t look like it. Has anyone seen Dr Sarah Cader as she seems to have a private clinic in Basingstoke I could get to. Any feedback welcome.
Thanks.
Wendy
Hi Wendy
You don’t say where you are actually located, but if you go to:
and fill in the obvious bits, you will find several MS consultants who may suit you. Then you can figure out who might be right for you, and see about getting seen. Also, don’t forget Odstock Hospital at Salisbury. They handle MS clients so a call to their MS Nurses might help you.

Im actually awaiting a call from the southampton team. Its not really 18 weeks is it? By that scale i wont be seen until end of feb, and i been recommended by the neuro to go on DMD treatment. That really is poor
Thank you Geoff, it didn’t know about that site so really useful thanks. I live mid way between Winchester and Southampton. Yes JW it really is 18 weeks at Southampton, unless they rate you as urgent, then it’s six. I even have to wait until 27 Feb to see an MS nurse!
Thanks again.
Wendy
