Neurologist appointment & symptoms

Hi all,

Thanks for reading my post. I’m midlands based and have been going around in circles for more
than 4 years with my GP I don’t think they take me seriously. Although they have now referred me to a neurologist.

My symptoms have gotten drastically worse since the back end of 2021 my boss allows me to work from home part time I can’t drive anymore I have so many symptoms

Such as:
Shaking/Tremors when I’m lying down or sitting. When I wake up

Feeling dizzy

A crushing feeling around my torso and stiffness

Shaking eyes (side to side)

Burning feet

Neuralgia neck head and face I’ve ended up in hospital with this it’s horrendous

Spacial awareness cant drive properly so dont

Fatigue (always tired sleep 12+ hours) can hit me like a tonne of bric

Numb lower left leg

Electric shocks feet and neck and torso occasional

Blurred vision (comes & goes quickly)

Migraine (lights, colours, ears ringing)

Tingling in hands and arms

Muscle Spasms

Shock like pain when withdraw Amytriptaline

Head jerking

Feelings of breathlessness

Sensitive to everything

Sexually disinterested low drive

I’m a different person I can’t concentrate at all I muddle my words and forget a lot … disorganised

Bending like sliding vision

Is this MS ? I’m just so fed up now I can’t cope any help is appreciated

Could be MS, but could be other things - an MS diagnosis can be hard to pin down. At least your GP has now referred you to Neurology though you may have to wait months for an appointment.

Some GP’s can order MRI’s though most leave that to Neurologists: worth asking your GP again because it could save further delay with Neurology if they have an MRI ready for your first appointment.

Sounds like your GP is not experienced with MS. Some are, but with so many diseases to look for, finding a GP who has a Neurology interest / experience / bias is not a given.
