Hello all, does anyone have trouble with their teeth?,I’ve broken 2 one was a root canal that parted company and was left hanging in my mouth and I ended up swallowing it overnight.
I’m due-to have them crowned next week, but no my front teeth have become painful, just wondering if this is another of m.s. hidden delights? I have s.p.m.s.
Sue
Sadly, other things go wrong as we get older I’ve lost a few teeth in the last few years too. Also, I get blepharitis (crusty eyelids) and asked my MS Doc in my consult and she gave me a look… No, nothing to do with it! I looked it up and it’s common in the over-50’s.
Having MS doesn’t make every ailment MS!
I don’t think MS has anything to do with teeth!
I have one broken tooth & replaced with a crown but this was long before MS made an appearance.
My dentist said some people with MS exert extra pressure with their jaws. I had had a partial crown disintegrate soon after fitting. Manufacturer pointed to a raised irregularity on the tooth opposite. Dentists wife is a physio so he might know a bit.
me too it can be caused through dry eye syndrome as well. my blepharitis causes my left eye eye lashes some of them to grow inwards its no fun. but its not down to MS as far as i am aware. i was told it can be triggered by auto immune responses. I know my teeth was i lost them all in the end. bliss no more tooth ache.
I think doctors blame everything on MS and never look elsewhere for things.
Have you been on steroids for any length of time?
