My symptoms is this MS?

Hi, I want to tell you all the symptoms I have. I have read so many posts and I think well I have that, so here goes

About 10 years ago I was getting an electrical feeling on the top of my right foot, went for test but nothing really came of it so I put it to the back of my mind.

About 7 years ago at the age of 37 I started the menopause.

I tore my calf muscle crossing the road about 6 years ago- It has now torn 4 times.

I started getting pain in my arch of my foot and was referred to a phsyio who said it was plantar facilitis(which has now gone). While having treatment I started getting back and hip pain, they thought it might be my hip so sent me to a podiatrist- she said i leant to the right and thought it could be back pain.

I was referred to a back specialist and had an mri scan

Whilst waiting for the results my back and hip got worse to the point that I collapsed and was hospitalized. The ambulance man thought it was bone pain as the gas and air was not taking away the pain. They also noticed that whilst on the floor my right foot fell to the side and thought it was a hip problem that old people get. When they strapped my legs together I screamed so loud i woke the sleeping neighbours who thought i was being killed. I was given maximum amounts of morphine which did not touch the pain. I was then given a diclofenic suppository and that worked.

I also have electrical feelings in my legs and feet

I have to lean forward to empty my bladder

I have pain in my ankle of my other foot.

I did have numbness in my groin as well as pain in just one spot like a hot poker

I am forgetting words, or knowing them but can’t say them.

My typing has gone down hill and have always been able to touch type(keep making mistakes typing this and have to rectify it)

When I eat, towards the end of the meal it feels like it is stuck and is quite an uncomfortable feeling.

My mri on my back was clear

I had an xray on my hip that was clear

I was sent for an mri on my brain as i suspected ms and doctor wanted to rule it out

i was sent to a rheumatologist who tested my body and said he did not think it was rheumatoid arthritis as my joints were not inflammed. He looked at my brain scan and said he could not see anything and then told me it was all probably in my head and would send me for some blood test and if they were negative it would send me to speak to someone as it is all in my head.

Well i didnt go for the blood test because i knew i didnt have rheumatoid arthritis as my fingers were fine.

So now i am left deflated and angry

I am currently on slow release tramadol, lyrica and a high dose of vitamin d. I have tried to reduce the amount of tablets as i dont like taking so much but the pain comes back.

can anybody help, does this sound like ms?

Bumping myself in the hope someone can help

Hi, maybe you should have blood tests for Lupus. It can cause neuro problems and the early menopause too and pains. You will never get a dx of ms with clear MRI of brain and spine.

I think you should go for the blood tests to rule out other causes such as a vitamin deficiency Axx

Hi, Thanks for all the replies.

The doctor gave me blood tests which all came back normal except high cholesterol.

He gave me high doses of vitamin d as he said our hospital dont test for it so gave it me just incase. I have been on these a while now but hasnt made an improvement.

I am not worried that much about a diagnosis just want to stop taking so many tablets and want the pain to go away. It was when I googled the tablets I was on the first thing that came up was ms, the more I read the more I thought I have that.

I am also concerned about the time I was hospitalized- to be in such pain that I screamed the place down and the fact that morphine did nothing but a suppository of diclofenic did, Why’s this.

Thank You
