ms nurse

ive just been allocated a ms nurse. only been waiting for about 2 years.Think my consultants got fed up with me saying why havent i got a ms nurse.Im just waiting for her to call now.I now its a daft question, but what do they do?? Dont mean to be thick, but i dont really know.

Kim

They are your go to people, with things like info, help with relapse, meds and any questions or concerns you have regarding ms that you need to ask someone who knows about ms. Hope this helps.

thanks darren for responding to the question.

Think of them as a sorting office at the post office, they don’t have a single specific specialty themselves but they are fully conversant in many of the accepted treatments and therapies that may be of help to you.

Kind of like a GP really, they have an overview of what’s available and pass you along to someone who may be able to help or understand in greater detail.

My nurse has told me that they do not prescibe drugs, this has to come from the doctor.
