Hi everyone!
Did anyone make it to MS Life this year? I was there on both Saturday and Sunday and had a fantastic time!
I leared a lot and met some lovely people. I feel very comfortable with myself and reassured.
Hope you are well,
K

No- but went to NAidex at the NEC yesterday , third year running. Great for reaffirming your sense of self, so many other people there in wheelchairs etc that you just feel normal! (Though the saddest thing is seeing parents with disabled children) Kev
Yes, I agree, that is sad. It is just reassuring to know that other are like me. I haven’t seen anyone with my symptoms before and where I live, people look at me strangely. Not a single strange look at MS Life!
Hi K, yes I went on the Sunday & had the use of a free scooter for the day. I met lots of lovely positive people. Hubby drove & we used the FREE city centre Park & Ride just 3 or 4 minutes from the Convention. The mini buses shuttle took us to the main entrance doors & were there when we left at 4pm. Some people had flown in from Europe!
I think there could have been more exhibitors, and a larger ‘spa area’ for shoulder massage. Perhaps a couple of chiropodists. Shoes, scooters, massage chairs, mobility aids etc would have generated interest. The talks I went to were quite good The wheelchair dancing looked fun for the entrants, so did the gentle exercise class.
Sounds great! Wonderful not to feel like ‘the only wheelchair user in the village’… lol… Pat xx
