Hi, Just quick question. Can you have a two lots of steroids within a few weeks…reason I’m asking as one five day dose had made a difference however I am wondering if another dose would have more effect. Might be clinging on to hope but just wondered. Thanks
Hi, I doubt whether you would be able to have another course of steroids within a few weeks. Steroids seem to work well for some people but for others me included don’t have any effect x.
I was told by neuro 3 courses a year. I must admit steroids always work for me. Within a day of takng them the relapse seem to start to go.
Yeah they have worked but leg still feels weak although stronger than it was that’s way I’m wondering if I should ask for another dose or will it not make a difference? Or do I need to just ride it out longer as only took jyblast steroids a week Monday gone slits nine days after? Thanks
I think it’s likely they’d tell you the first lot of steroids will still be hard at work, and you need to sit tight and give it time.

If you’d had another relapse in that time they might give you another dose that soon, but I would have thought there’s no way they’ll give you more just to carry on the good work. As Alison says, the current dose will still be at work anyway - I was told once they can be still be doing their thing up to a couple months later. What could help more is getting physio so I’d ask to be referred to a neuro physio instead. Research has show that it can help improve recovery more than just steroids on their own, and when I have it I always think it improves my legs after a relapse.

Thanks I have started neuro physio. Think I’m just worrying that my walking is not going to be what it once was… This is the first relapse where I’ve not returned back to what I was. The steroids always improved my leg but not this time! Back to work monday and I really hoped the leg would have been sorted by now
