I looked for a technical help area but couldn’t find one. Apologies for posting this in the Everyday living bit.

I’ve had the following message 5 times since Saturday evening when trying to reply to posts:-

“Your comment has been queued for moderation by site administrators and will be published after approval.”

I’ve not had a response from a private message to admin.

How long does approval take and what exactly are you approving?

There was a reason this morning but I’ve been asleep since then and can’t remember. I’ll have another look and maybe unlock it again.

Just noticed you have started a new thread anyway so I’ll leave it rather than confuse the issue any more.

I’m not sure, but I think it is routine for new members’ posts to be referred for moderation for a bit, just to make sure they are not out to make trouble or anything.

Also, I believe all the mods are volunteers so they most likely are juggling many tasks, not just the forum tasks.

1 - Why has the alternative therapies thread been locked?

  1. where have the posts gone I was trying to make but were waiting for moderatione. Particularly this one, which I’ve had to start as the other thread has been locked:-

Actually I’ve been given a different reason (by private message - by a mod) why my posts have been moderated. I’m not going to say what that is yet but may have to if the problems continue.

I think you’ll find the PM was from someone more exalted than a Moderator. By the way quoting any part of a PM without permission is against the T&Cs.
