I had a lumbar puncture on thursday afternoon. I was in and out within 25mins and on my way back home. I have an horrendous headache today right in the front of my forehead that hurts if i cough or bend down etc. I have layed flat, drank loads of water and caffeine since i had it done. Anyone else have this and how long did it last?
It’s not the norm to be in and out so quickly I wouldn’t think. I thought you had to lay flat for at least an hour after the procedure to avoid the ‘headache from hell’. I don’t know what to suggest apart from lying flat and lots of coke. I do hope it passes for you soon. If its not getting any better try phoning the hospital where you had it and asking for some advice or see your own GP. Take care Laura x
