Hi I was wondering if you could help? I had my LP yesterday which was not the most pleasant experience as they struggled to the fluid they needed 
as soon as they let me up the headache and nausea started which isn’t fun at all! Does anyone know how long it will take for results to come back? I was in so much pain I forgot to ask! They are looking at inflammatory markers primarily if that makes any difference on time scales. TIA

My complete results took approximately 6 weeks too x
Mine took more than 2 months, I think - that was earlier this year. It’s the oligoclonal bands which takes so long. I also found it took over a week for post to arrive from the hospital. You can get round this problem if you (a) make sure you opt in to email communication if your hospital offers the choice, and (b) if all else fails, ask the consultant’s secretary to email results to your GP practice, which will have a secure NHS email (so no data security issues). You can then collect them from there.
My headache lasted almost a week and vanished suddenly. Lie down if you can…
Thank you for the replies I will ask the doctors tomorrow to see what I can find out. I’m lying flat as my headache is being stubborn. Did anyone have any issues with their ears after? I feel like they need to pop and I have a weird noise almost like the static off a tv whirring around
