As a long term sufferer of PPMS I`m left puzzled by Lucy Woods article about being challenged and not permitted to use the Disabled exit at a Coldplay Concert despite showing her MS Badge but surely if she is Disabled she would have hopefully been granted a Blue Badge so why was this not shown . Moreover , it does appear that anyone can apply for these MS badges , and similar like Radar Keys , are given out without any reasonable check for proper entitlement . Lucy goes onto say that she found the departure and later her Tube journey to be incredibly difficult and she was in pain . So basic common sense should have come into play when arranging for the Concert and a Wheelchair taken along , or at the very least Crutches . Also , by not having any sensible aid , Lucy left herself vulnerable to getting pushed over in the crowded environment of the Concert . So it`s no small wonder Lucy was not permitted to use the Disable Exit . May I say that in my personal view , stories like this do nothing whatsoever for those with genuine hidden Disabilities , they are a complete disservice and help no one .
