Hi, I’m new to this forum but was diagnosed with RRMS 27 years ago. After a few life stresses last year I had a bit of a relapse and need to use a stick for longer walks (trip more so need it for confidence). After a friend put me onto the Wahls diet (Green smoothies loads of berries and back on meat) I noticed a bit of an improvement and was able to go from a few half lengths of the pool to 12 lengths. So thinking that exercise might be key to some more improvements I have been keen to ride a bike. Didn’t do it as a child (now 57) and I lack balance and confidence so hoping that someone can advise me about using low step-through bikes. Ideally if I could get a shot of one before committing to buying one. Thanks for any advice and if anyone knows of groups that meet up for gentle, non-road bike rides? I’m in the Edinburgh area. Bw, Lorna
You might like to consider a trike? There are quit a few out there. Some come with electric assist.
The problem is transporting them (and if you are tall like me) finding one that fits you. I loved the tomcat trike (it is a recumbent) but it was too big to transport. Definitely need to try before you buy.
Best of luck in your search.
This should give you an idea of what is available. Keeping your muscles as strong as possible is always a good idea.

Thanks very much
Thanks for that advice about a trike. Yes I am tall so that might be difficult but definitely one to consider.
All the best!
I doubt your height will be a problem, as I am 6’4" and a similar trike was fine. I hope you find something suitable.
Tried a folding trike in York (not a Jorvik) and my legs were too long and I am only 6ft. Tomcat would have been fine. Always try before you buy!
Quite right. The website only mentions the minimum inside leg length, so even a phone call would be a good place to start.
Hi I brought a Low step-Through Jorvic Trike last year and it’s amazing Trike, the staff are really helpful we had lots of questions because we live in France we couldn’t get over to look at Trike
