Hi all I’m a 57yo man about 18 months ago I had numb face and restless legs and I tripped now and then when walking oh and brain fog.
I also had a aching neck went to chiropractor who seemed to make it go away for some months.
About 2 months ago started getting restless legs and numbness in hand and legs feeling week and the odd trip but then pain in upper back.
Was sent for mri for a full spine and it came back 2 bulging disks and can’t remember the word but spine degrading?I’m being sent for a brain MRI in next 4 weeks but A&E consultant is confident it’s MS due to the spine condition wish I could remember the word used.
Anyway I’m scared stiff I’ve got myself dead in 4 weeks I know it’s not rational but I’ve never had it before but my anxiety is through the roof I’m not sleeping but it’s not stopping me working but I get tired late afternoon.

Hi Kernits, my sympathies to you. Two thoughts from me.
First, I was diagnosed just a few years younger than you are. I will be 70 next summer and over the last 16-17 years have found that the time I can walk has decreased to something like 20 mins, but yesterday I was out in the garden hedge cutting for around an hour and a half or more. I’m mentioning these things as a sort of way of saying that although MS is a real downer and really frightening so far for me my worse fears haven’t materialised. I’m daring to hope that old age will get me before MS does - if you see what I mean .
The second thought is that I’m slightly puzzled by the possible link between degrading spine and bulging- herniated discs and MS. From my layman’s knowledge, bulging- herniated discs can/ will give all the symptoms you have described and from what I know they can be treated without too much trouble. Have you been told how your spine and discs are going to be treated?
My best wishes to you on the outcomes of the next MRI and check for MS.

Thank you for reply helps a lot ty.
MRI showed degrading which they said points to MS so have to have a Brain MRI to confirm.
I’ve had symptoms in face and calf’s but again could be back but consultant was confident it’s MS
Just freaked me out as I’m not aware of all symptoms of MS
