It's gone

Hi, so I recently posted on here about the problems I was having with a supra pubic catheter and today it was taken out and I feel so much better already, it just wasn’t for me, to much by passing, the district nurses told me its the catheter that are at fault, so I’m hoping they get them sorted. So I don’t know where that leaves me, I have a PVT appt with my urologist, even though I’m NHS, so we’ll see.

Hi Jean

I am sorry to hear you’ve had such awful problems with your SPC glad you feel better now it’s gone.

Hopefully they will see you soon and get something more reliable for you.

On a different note did you have any joy with your neuro regarding Sativex?

Take care

Pam x

Ah thanks Pam, I have my appt on the 12th May, so I’ll see what he has to say. As far as the Sativex goes I had a really good appt for that and the outcome was that if I was to take the Sativex I would lose the stiffness that is keeping me upright and I would be permanently in a wheelchair and wouldn’t even be able to stand up, so I said NO THANK YOU. Now 4 mths later I’m at the moment permanently in that wheelchair and have been for over a month, so MS is playing up :rage: can’t win Pam. Hope you’re doing ok love, take care,

Oh Jean what a bummer just can’t win with MS
just keeps raising it’s ugly head and causing problems.

The Sativex does help with the spasms and stiffness in my case, but I do think you have to keep a check on how much your taking.

I do hope things pick up for you Jean and you feel better soon.

Thanks Pam and I’m glad it helps you, long may it last, stay safe and have a good day,

Oh Jean, I am sorry it didnt work out for you.

Mine is erratic and bypassed last night.I have thought of not having it at all, but that would mean pads that need changing very often…not a good thing for me and hubby.

Are you trying your previous method again?

Boudsx

Hi Bouds, Yes I too was sorry it didn’t work, as through the night it was a God send, but having it bypassing so many times and having no idea when this might happen wasn’t good, I was sick of changing clothes and cleaning myself and my hubby had more work to do constantly putting the washer on, also I was scared to go out anywhere, so when I put all this to Mr Bryan, he totally agreed. So yes I’m back to self catheter again at the moment, I’ve still got Botox in, so that’s helping a bit, due for a top up in June, but very kindly Mr Bryan has put me into one of his clinic on the 12th of May, as you know yourself Bouds Mr Bryan is a lovely fella, so when I attend that clinic I will see what he has to offer, if anything. Hope you’re not doing too bad, chin up and keep fighting.
Jean x
