Is satavix helpful?

I have ms but it effects my eye and i can deal with that. My Brother on the other hand also has MS but he has deteriorated so quickly he can hardly walk. His legs are like lead complete dead weight his legs look like they are stuck together. He was thinking of trying satavex but although it is ok to prescribe it on the NHS nobody will. His only choice is to buy it which isn’t cheap. I would like to know if anyone has tried it and did it help? I would be very grateful to have your opinion on it.
Many thanks in advance. Hilary57

Hi Hilary

My neuro prescribes it for me and I find it really helps with the spasms and stiffness in my legs.
I appreciate everyone is different and I can only speak on my opinion, but can he ask his neuro or perhaps in his area they are not prescribing it.

I wish you all the best.

The way I understand it is that it can only be prescribed by a specialist and is indicated for spasticity. If this one of your symptoms then ask your neurologist. If they don’t prescribe it, I would politely ask why.

We have tried to get this product but it comes down to cost and their budget so basically you have to pay for it yourself.
Which seems unfair seeing that it is supposed to help with his problem.

Hello pam.
Thank you for your reply they won’t give it because it is too expensive for their budget
He has an appointment at Harley st but he will have to pay private and for 1 month supply its over £500 . Its the uncertainty if it will help. I’m glad it is working for you. May it continue.
Best wishes
Hilary

It is understandable why some resort to growing their own plants.
