Is it MS really? Or just optic neuritis?

Hello,

I had optic neuritis and it is now cured. After looking at the results of some tests, My doctor said it is MS. Doctors in my country (Egypt) may make mistakes. My father has been told many lies by doctors before. It is expensive and confusing to go to many doctors.

So, I’m uploading the results and reports of my tests to you so that you may help me. Please, don’t be afraid to diagnose me online. At least give me your opinion. Is it really MS or just Optic neuritis?

Thank you very much,

I am not an MS expert - just a person who has had it for a while - so I have nothing to offer in terms of clarifying your situation, I’m afraid.

A good doctor whom one can trust is a great blessing. They are all human and they can all make mistakes, wherever in the world, but I do agree that seeking views from many doctors can become stressful and expensive without taking a person any further forward. It sound as though you have some doubts about your doctor and that your family’s experience with medical experts has not been good. That is sad to hear. All I can suggest is that you keep an open mind and perhaps spend some time building a relationship of trust with your doctor. It can be such a help when one has health worries - trouble with vision is an awful worry, I know.

I wish you good luck.

Alison
