Is it getting worse?

I guess that is more of a rhetorical question than anything else because I feel like I already know the answer to the question, but in the past few days I have been finding it harder and harder to walk the shortest of distances that I walked previously even with my stick.

I got out of bed t’other day and my feet were hurting as I walked to the shower and struggled downstairs and had to rest for a bit before having breakfast and sharing my coffee with the floor as I took it into the lounge to watch telly. . I stood up to cook a bacon sandwich for lunch and my ankles started hurting.

I am finding it harder and harder to climb stairs and I’m getting more worried, I hope they find a flat or bungalow soon as I don’t feel very safe living here anymore.

On a lighter note I have a rejoining interview at M&S on Thursday and aswell as being excited as I love the job and the company not to mention the temporay staff discount I am slightly worried that I will be able to cope with the job.

I will be sat down at a food till so think I should be ok and it will be nice to be able to stop signing on the doll for a while and get out of the house. I just know from the past 2 years I have worked there at christmas that I will hate it when I have to leave

Hi Jon, I find mine goes up and down. I’ve been really unwell and symptoms very bad for about 6 weeks but last few days I’m feeling much better.

Stress can make it worse and it’s possible the recent excitement over being offered the bungalow and then having to turn it down has stressed you out.

Hopefully the increase in symptoms will be short-lived. The progression, I find anyway, is more slow, sort of creeps up on you… but the sudden changes don’t seem to last. Climbing stairs though might be a more permanent thing. I can barely climb them now… can manage a few very slowly by sort of dragging myself up on a bannister.

Of course it’s different for each and every one of us but I hope you feel better soon.

Best of luck for Thursday. Fingers crossed. I really really hope you get it. I’m sure you’ll manage ok. Let us know how it goes.

Ta ta for now,

Pat x
