Hi Katrina, I am not doing too bad thanks, I was dx 6years ago. I am on disease modifying drugs but have had a few relapses and just waiting for an app with a neuro. Hi Alison thank you for your post I hope that my symptoms resolve and that it’s a one off attack but have prepared myself if it isn’t. Its just strange that I had so many horrible symptoms all at once and some that people hadn’t even heard about or experienced. One of the strange ones I had which nobody seems to have mentioned on other posts is that the inside of my mouth on the left hand side ( my gums mainly) were inflamed and would bleed a fair amount- thankfully that symptom ended a couple of weeks ago. My main thing now which I’m struggling with the most is the dizziness, headaches, pain in the back of the head which is horrible and also my left arm isn’t connecting with my brain very well. Other people seem to have symptoms that are much worse and I know they must be going through hell. I just wish I could get something sorted do that they can give me treatment/pain relief for my head pain. My physio has been brilliant in helping with my movement and my walking is much better and I’m trying really hard with my arm. Paying privately for physio though and is a pricey thing each week but am still waiting for physio on nhs and was referred at the end of April! How ridiculous that the waiting lists are so long!!!

I want to get the lumbar puncture done and my gp said that I need to contact the neurologist that I saw and explain that I want the lumbar puncture and that he will be able to arrange it - the problem is that I have left numerous messages for the neurologist and he has never got back to me! Spoke to his secretary (yet again) and explained that I want to have the lumbar puncture and want to be referred for it - she just said I will let him know and he will contact you! Grrrr! They never phone back! Will the private neurologist that I’m seeing on Monday next week be able to refer me on the nhs for it? Because I’m seeing him privately not sure if he will be able to refer me for it.
