This has been such a long journey. It’s been around 15 years since I started it, and I think I’ve been a member here for 10 years now.
I finally have a diagnosis: small fibre neuropathy. Unfortunately it is progressive, & there is no treatment, unless you can find a cause. Of course, I have to be in the 50% of suffers who don’t have a known cause.
It’s a life of unrelenting pain, but I’d already come to terms with that. In fact, it was people on here who gave me the best advice - always have something to look forward to, & fill your life with as much joy as possible. Thankfully the FND (‘it’s your software not your hardware’) diagnosis has been removed. I just wish there was some comeback for the lazy neurologist who made the diagnosis.
