Greetings,I hope everything is tucked in and toasty. There is no reason at all why you should remember a post of mine a while back where I said I’d give a report on my adventures with the D3 supplement.I’ve not altered my drug intake, usual daily routine, diet, blah blah.Hence, the boost in energy, lack of changes in things and feeling of overall well being is down to the D3.
Not particularly scientific, but there isn’t any obvious reason for the changes or lack thereof, other than the D3.I’m taking 5000 IU daily, in accordance with the instructiments. Not bad for less than 15 quid for a years supply from our friend the Brazilian rain forest (I Iike writing Brazilian). With a bit of luck and a following breeze things will stay the same or 'praps or keep improving…
I’ll be getting ready to go out on the buggy soon. It’s quicker for an astronaut to go on a space walk than for me to nip out and indulge in Coffee+Coughin’/Coffin…Still it’s good for moral
I started on the same dosage about two weeks ago and I’ve noticed that I’ve been feeling much better the last couple of days. Coincidence or not, I don’t know, but if there’s a slim chance that it’s the vitamin d3 that’s helping then I fully intend to carry on.
They must have been on special offer when I ordered mine cos I was only £10 for a years supply from that same online retailer.
I have been meaning to give D3 a try, but keep forgetting to pick some up…
I will definitely pick some up next time I can. I’m waiting to hear if the DVLA will renew my driving license so I need my boyfreind to drive me everywhere. He is sceptical about any suppliments, not least because I’ve bought loads in the past and stopped taking them. By the time we get to the relevant asiles I have lost the ability to concentrate and think about anything sensible. The joys of wobbly walking and fatigue
Do you think I can sneak some in the trolly without him noticing?
Have read lots of your posts but I don’t often post on here myself. A bit sporadic.
Love your sense of humour. Perhaps D3 helps to lift our spirits. I had a vit d3 test - result was within the normal range but only just. So I take 10,000 iu’s per day AND LDN AND REBIF. I’ve stayed well for over 3 yrs. I have symptoms but no new ones and no progression. Is this just luck or the meds? Who knows but I’m carrying on with my meds regime - something is working in my favour. I also stay so jolly it almost annoys the Mrs. ( It’s not difficult ) Rpger
l am another one who is doing well on 10,000ius vit d3 and LDN - so can l be added to Jolly Roger and WoblyBoy’s happy gang.
l know LDN boosts endorphins - so makes you feel more upbeat - and of course vitd3 - which is an important ‘hormone’ helps with allsorts of symptoms including depression. My bone-density has improved so much since taking vitd3 - as it helps the body convert and absorb calcium. lt certainly has helped with my lBS.
Lovely morning here - have been out on my Tramper taking my dogs for a very long run in the sunshine - have cleaned them up and now they will sleep for hours. We have seen deer/muntjac/pheasants/partridge/buzzards/sheep/geese and called in on my Mum for the dogs to have a biscuit each from their ‘granny’. They have to sit smartly for one - then lie down for a second.
Well Ill add to the debate. My skin was flakey and so dry everywhere so much so that in the evening when I undressed I could see skin falling about around me. Well after 2 years now on vit.d3 and extra from evening primrose oil, my skin is now as it was when I was a babe in arms, although someat is making my hair fall out? Could that be all the stress lately due to government bashing of the disabled I wonder or am I just a worrier.
Anyhow vit.d3 is working for me, Ive now got skin like a babies botty! (but Im not showing to anyone, its miiiiinnnnneeeee!)
I have to agree with you and state that my five a day of 25mcg Vitamin D3 seems to be doing me the power of good. This is just as well as there hasn’t exactly been an abundance of good old fashioned daylight this year. To me the word ‘Summer’ is just an Australian girls’ name. I try to encourage my family to take the stuff as they’re reputed to have more chance of developing MS too, but so far I haven’t seemed to convince anyone. We shall have to strive onwards with our boxes of super strength vitamin D3!
What may make my VitD3 levels worse is the fact that I don’t spend much tiime outside these days. I used to walk for exercise, but now I’m wobbly I daren’t.
If the Vit D3 has any positive effect on me I may be able to get some exercise walking outside to somewhere nice for a sit-down to recover and a nice coffee.
I used to walk an AWFUL lot, and climb mountains etc, but by all accounts, we people with MS have difficulty in absorbing vit D, so no matter how long we are in the sun we won’t absorb much. I still try and sun bathe as much as I can, but unfortunately the sun + Rebif or Copazone causes the skin to look like sun dried apricots so I don’t stay outside for as long as I used to!
I’m thinking we should start The D3 club.We could have a secret handshake, when you…Oops it isn’t going to be secret for very long.Badges,T shirts and bumper stickers will do to begin with,as a way of raising money for our ‘Nudist Holiday in the Sun’ The badges will be VERY VERY BIG
