How to push forward and leg pain

Hi, I have no idea if what’s going on is MS but a lot of what I have experienced could point towards it and I am getting no where with GP so considering going private or looking for advice on what to say to GP.

I have been backwards and forward the last 4 month with severe leg pain in both legs. Some days are better than others and they can often feel worse at rest and definitely more painful if i have done too much wether that be walking or running. It can also come on for no apparent reason and can feel like pulsating pain through my legs. Can feel like mild ache to severe ache too. Sometimes going up steps or stepping up the backs can feel weak and give way and have done for long before the severe leg pain started.

If I think back through things i have had pain in my eyes for years but just an ache and the opticians gave me lenses to help strengthen them saying it was fatigue in the muscles. I can feel mildly dizzy for no real reason and lately have been very fatigued. I am trying to work out what I am maybe trying to make fit and what is real and if any of this sounds familiar.

Sometimes i feel like i am making the pain in my legs up and that it’s nothing as all blood test results are normal. Some a little low but normal and mostly i feel ok.

Does any of this sound familiar for anyone… particularly interested in the leg pain and any advice with getting MS ruled in or out.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about all these problems. I think there are lots of potential causes for leg pain - it would be so helpful if you could get to a GP who will take you seriously!
Have you considered arthritis as a possibility?
Does the pain improve if you apply ice packs? Or with ibuprofen, if you’re able to take that?
I hope you get some proper answers soon.

Best to see your GP and if possible have an XRay and/or MRI to see what could be causing your problems.
I have MS and severe central canal stenosis amongst other spinal problems.
I had a lumbar puncture that proved very difficult to do and the consultant who had to take over asked if I had arthritis in my spine.
I said I didn’t know but had back and leg pain for a number of years.
This has got progressively worse and resulted in me seeing my GP and having a bone density scan , x ray and MRI of my lumber spine.
I’ve been found to have osteopenia , fractured vertebrae , arthritis, and severe spinal stenosis.
I’m hopefully having decompression surgery this year.
