Oh sorry you feel like that sweetheart, I know that feeling - I was in despair a couple of weeks ago with all my UTIs and bladder problems. I was so low I was at the bottom of the pile and then I got some help. Hopefully, if you can limp through the weekend you can see her asap next week and she will help you with the worst of your symptoms… Unfortunately, there is no easy answer - I wish there was. Thinking of you, Teresa xx
Hi Nikki,
Great to see you back again, shame it’s because you’re still waiting for answers. I wondered where you had gone to.

The earliest appointment I could get was for 2 weeks time and, even though I said she had asked to see me next week they wouldn’t budge so I have decided if I still feeling like this tomorrow I am going to A&E. I can’t carry on like this, I have a family to run and I can barely walk. Hopefully going there will make someone take notice. The strongest medication I have is ibuprofen and I might as well just take smarties.
Hi Nikki,
2 weeks time is not good enough. Disgusting!
A & E might be a good idea. You might at least get some tests done and move a bit further forward. They can’t ignore you there! The treatment you have had is awful.
You did as they asked by going for the psych tests - it’s time you were taken seriously now.
The symptoms you are having need investigating and if they won’t get this sorted then they leave you no option but to go to A&E. The very least they could have done is give you some pain relief and to leave you suffering like this is beyond belief.
Best wishes

If you decide against A&E…At my doctors surgery you can request a telephone appointment. Is this possible?
Tell the GP you could not get appointment and tell her you want a second opinion asap as the symptoms are getting unbearable and you can’t cope like this much longer.
INSIST on medication for the pain. Be strong and be very assertive. Keep on at them until they give you the help you need.
Don’t be rude but tell the gp you feel your past medical problems are stopping them from taking you seriously. Tell them that your hubby can see how this is all affecting you and get him to back you up.
If i lived nearer to you i would come with you myself and give them a good telling off!!
If you end up waiting the 2 weeks it would be a good idea to take someone with you - hubby/parent/friend who see how you are struggling on a daily basis.
I really feel for you. It must be a horrible situation to be in.

Now i’ve given you that advice… I need to listen to it myself because i need to see the gp myself but i keep putting it off because whenever i go he makes me feel like my symptoms are all in my head.
I feel so ill at the mo that i don’t feel well enough to get myself to the surgery. How pathetic is that? and everyone is too busy or can’t be bothered to come up with me!
You are not the only one struggling and also struggling to get someone to believe your symptoms. Why is everything a battle?
I have the strength to fight the ms and the symptoms but i don’t have the strength to fight the medical profession as well!
How awful that they said two weeks time - what you could do is say that you are not well enough to go to the surgery and therefore need a doc to visit you. They will not want to do that and may find you an earlier one. If not, tell them you need an urgent appointment. My surgery will see you the same day if it is urgent. I think this is supposed to be how all surgeries are run. It is true that Teresa needs to do the same and visit her GP too! Failing that perhaps going to A and E will help but if you have been under a neurologist previously, I think they want to pass the buck back to them. I hope you get some joy! Teresa xx
