Hi everyone I’m new been reading lots of posts it’s fantastic to the help and support on here.
So here goes my story in April I woke up with numbness tingling on the left side of my torso they was also a prickly heat sensation kinda felt like static/electric and didn’t feel great over the days it spread round my side and up my back to my neck I thought I had shingles but no rash appeared and even putting on a t-shirt felt painful to touch my skin, I also felt exhausted lasted about a week then started clearing up.
About five weeks later I was at work on nights and going down a flight of stairs and grabbed the handrail (metal was stoned cold) and my hand felt like it was burning I had a little dizzy spell balance felt and my side of my face felt like it was twisting but it wasn’t. I got home went to bed and again woke up and both my forearms was numb tingling and that prickly heat static feeling in both arms over the next couple of days it spread up my arms to my right shoulder left side went up to my neck. Then I started random bolts of pain and I do mean painful shooting up my armpit.
I felt absolutely exhausted walking felt like I was walking under water like there was resistance i was that tired tried to make a drink and barely had any strength in my hand and to get the lid of milk a real struggle. General felt quite ill took about 9 days before any great improvement.
Had it again in right arm with the bolts of lightning and then in my thigh.
Now twice I’ve had in the last three weeks major headaches lasting a few days with numbness tingling in my right cheek.
Reading other post on here you start joining the dots together and remembered last year having problems with my eyesight didn’t last long but completely lost focus a couple of times.
On waiting list to see neuro and dr has requested a mri for me hopefully this will be before I see neuro.
I’ve also had problems swallowing food since this started feels like it’s getting stuck going down.
Feeling confused after the periods of attacks everything seems to return to normal or no loss strength etc but lots of periods of tiredness oh and I also feel like I’m shaking inside.
Just sat chatting to the wife and remember going to walk in clinic last year squeezing pain chest and my arm tingling dr wasn’t sure so game me a nitroglycerin spray for any more episodes could this of been ms hug?

I am sorry that you are having such a worrying time. I hope that you do not have to wait for too long to get things moving. Have you considered getting the GP to refer you to the specialist privately for (at least) your initial appointment? It can shave some time off the initial waiting period. It’s a pity that’s the way things are but there it is.
Hi Alison I’m on my 9th week of a 18 week waiting list my dr has reconnected the neuro dept to try and speed things up
