Hi everyone - I’m Clare the Digital Services Product Manager at the MS Society.
I’ve been here for 18 months now.
I have a personal connection to MS, being diagnosed myself back in 2021 with RRMS, after multiple relapses in 2020 and the classic warning sign of optic neuritis in 2016. As well as one of my best friends also being diagnosed a few years before me.
I found in the early days this community was super kind, helpful and caring and I’m now proud to be supporting in my role as well as other volunteering opportunities I take on.

Hi Clare, welcome to the forum and thank you for introducing yourself. It’s great to hear from someone who not only works with the MS Society but also understands life with MS from personal experience. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through those challenges, but it’s wonderful that you’ve turned that experience into helping others.

Great question @GCCK. I look after the digital services that provide the community with support. Within my realm is the Forum, Webchat (recently launched, a direct line to MS Help), the DMT tool, the Fatigue online course and the Newly Diagnosed email journey. Within the role I also look at how the digital services can be improved to better support people and always looking for something new. I hope that gives a better idea about my every day - but always happy to answer questions.
Hi @GCCK , my stepdaughter works in Digital Marketing and after years of asking exactly what that involves and numerous explanations I’m still not totally sure (. However there seems to be a lot of money in it and she has a good salary so that’s OK)

After a bit of a merry go round, I was formally diagnosed with RRMS in February this year (they think it may have been starting for me in the mid 90s )
This forum is great and, the members are lovely. I’d been looking in and reading since I was in hospital in early 2024.
I’m not as mentally agile as I was before so, I do struggle with technology a bit now. The dates and amount of posts thing shown on threads on here do confuse me sometimes when I open them and find posts dated from sometimes a lot further back.
I keep trying because I’m thinking It may just be me being a bit thick nowadays.
