Hi all, I am trying alternative therapies.

Hello again. I am trying a lot of alternative methods to treat MS and posting the results on my blog - (removed by admin- broken link).I have had MS for more than 20 years in total, and I spent 6 last years in a wheelchair. FYI, English is a second language for me, so, ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for any inaccuracies in advance :DDDDDD

Sorry couldn’t read, saying your link is unavailable.

I’ve had a quick look - like Jackie I had to copy and paste - and I can safely say that your English is a damn sight better than my Russian! But I too cannot find the ā€œalternative methodsā€ bit.

Yes, indeed, I have made small typo - happybai-eng.com And yes, my blog is still a bit empty. :DDDDD I plan to publish the results of applying alternative methods of treatment MS, and if they show a good efficiency, I will, finally, tell about them in detail.

I’m trying Hyperbaric Oxygen at the MS Therapy Centre, Bradley Stoke, Bristol. My cognitive function has improved hugely and I have been able to reduce my pain medication from 2,400 mg of Gabapentin a day to 1,500 mg a day - still on 20 mg of Amitriptyline at night but I can live with that. I don’t feel so stiff when walking either.

I have Oxygen Therapy at Bradley Stoke too.

I am rubbish at names (I wear it as an MS badge of pride these days!) so I can’t place you. But I suspect I do know you!

I’m Ellen and I usually ā€˜get’ my oxygen on a Thursday at the moment.

I have found it helps my with energy and my mobility. My balance issues are more than usually annoying at the moment so I’m hoping the oxygen will help that too.

Are you interested in alternative therapies that DON’T work? Because I have lots of experience of those - Best odds diet (for years), Swank diet, Wahls diet, acupuncture (more than fifty sessions, spread over a year), low dose naltrexone, helminth therapy (that’s infecting yourself with parasitic worms). I didn’t feel that any of them made any difference to my declining health.

I have been using the hyperbaric chamber for over 10 years. Great for improving bladder issues and improving fatigue issues.

I tried accupuncture a few years ago but it did nothing for me.

derek

I have had four sessions of acupuncture, I stopped it as I felt it wasn’t working. Then some of my symptoms improved (aching) but now the symptoms have returned. So may be it did work for a short time of three weeks.

I tried acupuncture didn’t work. I tried homeopathy didn’t work. Tried lots of different herbal things and all of the GP and specialists prescribed drugs.none work for me but I do take painkillers and the best two tablets are my antidepressants. Basically nowt works. I to am now in wheelchair fulltime had PPMS over twenty years and had fun fighting with it. Good luck trying never give up fighting it.

Meditation, twice a day, and be militant about it. I haven’t had any relapses or symptoms since I started meditating. Coincidence? I think not. Best of luck x
