Help please rebif

I hope someone can help me i am a little concerned , I messed my days up on taking my rebif injection thought I was a day ahead, so I have injected myself with less than 24 hours gap inbetween instead of the normal 2 days , will this be ok really don’t know who to contact thanks for any help

Hi Carol,

I would suggest contacting the Rebif helpline number. You should be able to find it with your original start up pack. Alternatively contact the courier who deliver your Rebif each month, mine used to be delivered by BUPA. I also used to receive a magazine from Merck Serono who manufacture Rebif and it included a website and telephone number for assistance but I don’t have the details now as I had to switch DMDs after Rebif stopped working for me.

Hopefully someone else will have the number to hand for you. Try not to worry, I’m sure you haven’t done any real harm.

Hiya Carol.

As tracey says, it’s probably better to check with the Rebif company (or your MS nurse) but, my personal view would be not to worry too much and just do the next one when it would normally be due. I think it would only be an issue if you did it all the time.

Hi Carol,

Don’t worry. I’ve been using Rebif for 6 years and I’ve missed days here and there - sometimes missed 2! I’ve overdosed a couple of times as well I’m sure thinking I hadn’t had one when I had - that’s short-term memeory loss for you! If you’re really worried contact your MS nurse or other healthcare provider but I’m sure you’ll be ok.

I am struggling with the notion of injecting oneself a day early by accident. In 10 years on Avonex in the past, I can say with absolute certainty that this was never remotely a risk for me! The times I might have ‘forgotten’ and done it a day or so late, well, that’s quite another matter…

As others have said, I doubt whether you have given yourself a problem, but it is always best to check with the Rebif or MS nurse if you are concerned.
