Help needed with treatment alternatives

Has anyone participated in MS to Success programme with Karen Dwyer? Is it worth it? Was it helpful?

I hadn’t heard of it so looked it up. I found it difficult to work out exactly what it is but from the bits I could get it sounds a bit like the Overcoming MS series of recommendations ( diet, exercise , meditation/ mindfulness) but with a sort of evangelical zeal plus some ‘self affirmation’.

Have you been able to find out exactly what is involved

P.S Overcoming MS has a website with tons of stuff on it and comes from a Professor of Medicine in Australia who has MS himself

I read up on Karen Dwyer’s story, I completely advocate complimentary/alternative treatment for MS, following a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition, exercise and sunlight will absolutely slow down the disease progression as it did for me in the early years.

I decided, from a place of desperation, to sign up to this programme i feel i was in a very vulnerable place both mentally and psycially. It was not at all what i signed up for and i feel i have been mislaid and scammed it has financially ruined me. I feel so let down and stupid i had so much hope in the programme being offered i just dont know what to do now. None of it was as advertised.

I’m sorry, there are plenty of fly-by-night scam therapists out there, what I mean about complimentary/alternative therapy is following sensible living like the advice given on this website.

Hi Scampi, don’t feel stupid! People who prey on those with , currently, incurable conditions really are the pits.

I was tempted to find out myself but tend to be wary of anything that involves handing over my money.

From what I could tell , reading between the lines of what are basically advertising videos, I got a suspicion that she was just selling an idea of positive thinking, releasing yourself from guilt and negativity etc.

Are you OK with sharing exactly what is involved ?

I tend to think that any false selling needs highlighting to the MS Community

I’ve looked her up and she’s a wee bit coy about how her special magic works, which gets my BS-detection sensors twitching, I’m afraid.
